The Gwadar Development Authority came into existence under the Provincial Government Act 2003 to prepare, implement, and regulate the Gwadar Master Plan. After its establishment, the Authority developed and finalized the Internal Road Network, Land Zoning, and Vision for the future of Gwadar. As a regulatory body, the main objective of GDA is to regulate the development pattern, attract private investment, provide infrastructure for developments, and monitor utility services in a planned manner.
